Joey Hassett is a passionate endurance coach and Registered Dietitian who brings over 15 years of experience as an athlete to his coaching philosophy. As part of the Boundless Coaching team, Joey combines a deep understanding of performance nutrition with a love for helping athletes reach their fullest potential.
Joey believes that great coaching is built on trust, communication, and a shared commitment to the process. His approach is rooted in meeting athletes where they are—physically, mentally, and emotionally—and guiding them with a personalized plan that balances performance, recovery, and long-term health. Joey values consistency, intention, and celebrating every milestone, big or small.
With a B.S. in Dietetics, an M.S. in Sports Nutrition, and certifications including USAC Level 3 Coach and Safe Sport Certified, Joey specializes in performance nutrition, s road, gravel, mountain bike, and cyclocross training. His expertise also extends to triathlon and running, drawing from over a decade of experience in those disciplines. Joey has provided nutrition coach to athletes ranging from complete beginners to Olympic competitors, and thrives when coaching individuals who are driven by a clear goal and committed to the process..
Joey’s personal athletic achievements include becoming the 2025 Colorado Gravel State Champion (age group), 2024 CAT 3 Rocky Mountain Road Cup Champion, 6th overall (age group) at the 2025 Whiskey 50 MTB, 7:18 Leadville 100 MTB finish—including a 2nd place age group podium in 2024, multiple podium finishes at state champion cycling events, 70.3 Half Iron man finisher, and 2017 Age group Triathlon World Championship competitor. He is a member of the Primal - Audi Denver elite road and off-road racing team. His nutrition career achievements include working with Life Time Grand Prix athletes to prepare for the 2023 and 2024 season, working with a triathlete leading into the 2024 Pairs Olympics, and researching the impacts of a plant based diet on the gut microbiome of athletes.

When not training or coaching, Joey enjoys cooking, backcountry skiing with his fiancé, exploring new trails with his dog, traveling, and racing bikes across the country.
